Home Schooling - 27th February 2014

In this week's this show we discuss the pros and cons of home schooling your child. We explore the practicalities and reasons why parents choose, or are indeed pushed in to home schooling their children.
We speak to experienced home schooling parents and to 21 year old Gemma Roberts, an undergraduate from Herts Uni, about her memories and feelings about having been homeschooled.
We hear too, how hard it can be when a parent starts off with limited knowledge of the support networks around the home schooling community.

The Reasons We Need To Dance & Move - 13th February 2014

Why are parents so shy to dance in public? Why do dads get teased for dad dancing? Is dancing  actually something our bodies were made to do?

In this show we speak to Professor Peter Lovatt, a world famous expert in the psychology of dance. We ask him about the benefits of dance and movement for children and adults and he shares lots of the studies he and his team at Herts University have conducted in to the benefits of dance and movement.
We are also joined by St Albans' business women, Zoe Jackson from Livin' The Dream Dance Company and Sue Wybrow, the creator and owner of Pop Dance plus teenage dancer Chloe Paige Herron from STAGS school and Millie a student from Livin' The Dream.
